Commentary

Mass amasses by affinity.

Atoms form via affinity. The quarks which compose nucleons are a compound of protons and neutrons which establish a nuclear community. With a nucleus settled in, the charge allure of protons attract electrons to complete atomization. Such affinity is the foundation of chemistry.

Ionic elements attract partners by an affinity dictated by a felt electron community deficiency, expressed as a charge. Such bonding is the basis of chemical reactions.

Matter likes its kindred. Atoms and molecules naturally congregate together. Water is a ubiquitous example, but selfsame matter congregation occurs universally. The deposits of mineral ores that dot Earth testify to mass amassing by affinity. By this it is apparent that affinity is one of the fundamental forces of Nature.

Gravity expresses affinity.

Gravity is a purity in amassed mass expressing affinity for other matter. Gravity is the cöforce that holds the universe together: the cosmic companion to a simi-lar but distinctive cöforce that bundles nucleons to form atomic cores.

Polarity depends upon affinity.

As gravity illustrates, monopolarity transpires via affinity. The dipolarity of electromagnetism is an inyō of affinity in offering attraction and repulsion (anti-affinity) as dynamic drivers.

Existence is driven by affinity.

Existence is the expression of reality. Nature endures via the energy of affinity: the intricate bonds by which cöherence weaves its web.

Desire is of affinity.

Desire is motive force of Life. Desire is the mind wanting contact with a felt affinity.

Sociality is by affinity.

Social beings – whether animal, microbe, or any other Life – want companionship for a multitude of reasons. For much Life, sociality is as innate as desire. Sociality is by affinity.

Mental patterns form by affinity.

The hoary English adjective like claims affinity via conceptualization of similarity. This concept has universal occurrence and meaning in all human languages.

Affinity is a major mental tool. Memories are formed and recalled by construing and sorting similarities. Imagination employs affinity in projecting the same pivotal concept into a different context to gauge its relations there.

Affinity becomes sticky with attachment.

Attachment is clinging to a conceived affinity. Such sticky affinity binds awareness to a conception rather than opportunistically flowing with the present.
